On July 1-4, 2026, the 3rd French-Polish Chemical Congress was held in Paris. The aim of this event was to popularize the achievements of Polish and French research teams in the broadly understood field of chemistry. The congress was opened at the Polish Embassy in Paris by the Chargé d'affaires of the Republic of Poland in the French Republic and the Principality of Monaco, Wiesław Tarka.
The very rich program of the congress, which took place in three locations:
- the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) Scientific Centre in Paris,
- the Polish Library in Paris,
- the French University in Paris (the popular Sorbonne),
was graced by lectures from many outstanding chemists, including Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn and Prof. Krzysztof Matyjaszewski. An added value to the event were the presentations by young scientists.
The Polish Chemical Society assumed scientific patronage over the congress. I would like to extend my congratulations to Prof. Dr. hab. Violetta Patroniak, Chairwoman of the Organizing Committee, on the excellent organization of the event, which was full of inspiration, substantive exchange of scientific thoughts, and new collaborations.
