On May 18, 2026, a preview performance of the play “Maria Skłodowska-Curie. Experience” took place at the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum in Warsaw. The event gathered the creators and invited guests around an extraordinary story about the outstanding Nobel Prize laureate.
The monodrama performed by Agnieszka Przepiórska offers a modern and deeply moving look at the researcher. The creators depart from the classic biographical narrative, portraying her as a woman full of passion, determination, and great emotions. The titular “experience” refers here not only to tedious laboratory work but also to her life choices, challenges, and the realities of the era she had to face.
We would like to thank the Old Theatre in Lublin for this wonderful meeting, organized in the birth home of our Patron. We are proud that the creators invited the Polish Chemical Society to co-create this event. It is a huge honor for us. We are glad that we can be part of an initiative that so beautifully combines scientific heritage with art and popularizes the history of Maria Skłodowska-Curie.
The official premiere of the play will take place on June 19, 2026, at the Old Theatre in Lublin.
