PTC Congress
Meeting of the PTChem Consultative Council

On May 18, 2026, at the headquarters of the Polish Chemical Society in Warsaw (Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum), another meeting of the current term of the PTChem Consultative Council took place. It was attended by the President of PTChem, Prof. Dr. hab. Robert Pietrzak, the Treasurer of the PTChem Main Board and Plenipotentiary for the Consultative Council, Prof. Dr. hab. Agnieszka Nosal-Wiercińska, as well as representatives of the companies comprising the Consultative Council.

As usual, the meeting was guided by the idea of intensifying cooperation between the Society and the business sector for the common good.

During the discussion panel, opinions were exchanged regarding the support of PTChem's scientific, research, and didactic initiatives, as well as proposals related to activities aimed at raising the rank and recognition of the Consultative Council as an advisory body to PTChem. An attempt was made to develop cooperation models based on mutual relations. An important aspect of the talks was the correlation between science and industry, and the adaptation of the education system to the current needs of the chemical industry.

The currently ongoing promotional initiatives of the companies were discussed in the context of: universality, the use of marketing strategy, its availability, popularity, and effectiveness translating into recognition.

An added value to the meeting was a cultural accent. Participants visited the temporary museum exhibition "Off the Trail – the Cycling Journeys of Maria and Pierre" (Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum).

Thank you for the substantive meeting and wonderful atmosphere.

Prof. Dr. hab. Agnieszka Nosal-Wiercińska
Plenipotentiary for the PTChem Consultative Council
