On June 15, 2026, a meeting of the Main Board of PTChem was held at the headquarters of the Polish Chemical Society at 16 Freta Street in Warsaw.
The meeting was attended by:

The meeting was opened by the President of the Main Board of PTChem, who, after welcoming the gathered guests, presented information regarding the Society's activities in the first half of 2026. He discussed the current situation regarding the accounting and financial services of the Chemistry Olympiad in connection with the introduction of the National e-Invoicing System (KSeF) and proposed changes, included in the relevant resolution of the Main Board, which will adapt the current accounting system to the new tax and accounting regulations. The next issue concerned the details of cooperation between the Chemistry Olympiad and the Orlen Foundation, thanks to which additional funds were obtained for prizes for the laureates of the Chemistry Olympiad.
The Treasurer – Prof. Dr. hab. Agnieszka Nosal-Wiercińska – presented the financial situation of the Society. She paid special attention to the change of bank, the introduction of fast BLIK payments, membership fees, and the Consultative Council. Current matters regarding PTChem Branches and Sections were discussed by the First Vice-President – Prof. Dr. hab. Rafał Latajka. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Main Committee of the Chemistry Olympiad – Prof. Dr. hab. Marek Orlik, presented a report on the 72nd edition of the Chemistry Olympiad and the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad in Dubai. The Chairman of the Bydgoszcz Branch – Dr. hab. Przemysław Kosobucki, Prof. PBŚ – presented current information on the preparations for the organization of the PTChem Scientific Congress, which will be held on September 14-18, 2026, in Bydgoszcz.
During the meeting, the locations of the upcoming PTChem Scientific Congresses were also voted on:
- in 2028, the congress will take place in Białystok,
- in 2030, the congress will take place in Gliwice.
