World Chemist’s Day in Warsaw – science in practice and free workshops for residents

On June 9, 2026, Warsaw will host “World Chemist’s Day” – an educational and science-popularizing event organized by the Warsaw Medical and Technical Academy of Applied Sciences (WAMT). The initiative, combined with the 10th anniversary of the Cosmetic Chemistry major, is directed at pupils, students, teachers, and all residents interested in science.

When: June 9, 2026, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Where: WAMT Campus, ul. Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. 18, Warsaw

During these hours, the campus space will turn into a place of experiments, demonstrations, and practical workshops. The event program will include, among others:

  • Food chemistry classes: analysis of product ingredients and testing of natural plant dyes.
  • Cosmetic chemistry workshops: creation, evaluation, and design of cosmetics.
  • Science Show: spectacular demonstrations, such as “golden rain”, controlled combustion reactions, and experiments in the field of fragrance chemistry and perfume making.
  • Chemical knowledge quiz: competitions with attractive prizes for participants.

The organizers emphasize that the event aims not only to popularize science but also to show its practical significance in everyday life and to increase awareness of safety when working with chemical substances.

Participation in the event is free!
